Prachi Garodia MD
I’m Dr. Prachi and my passion is Educating, Empowering, and helping individuals achieve vibrant health.
Growing up, I was a very Intuitive and Empathic child and automatically managed to draw any being who was suffering towards myself, regardless of them being a bird or a four-legged animal, or fellow human beings. I always felt deeply connected to nature, which provided me with the recharging energy. From my earliest childhood memories, I remember nurturing the lost baby birds who had fallen from their nests, and the stray puppies, who got separated from their moms, surrounding me.
We grew up in a very open, natural space, playing with bugs, squirrels, birds, and other animals around us, and enjoying their company. We were also nourished with fresh home-cooked meals 3 times daily, with the use of seasonal herbs and spices aligned with the intelligence of nature, and utilizing Integrative modalities like Homeopathy, Ayurveda, and Yoga to stay healthy.
I was in peak health till I came to the USA for my medical Residency. During the challenging 4 years of training, working an average of 36 hours in a shift, living in a stressful environment with total dissociation from the natural intelligence of nature and its rhythmic cycles, and away from the proximity of loved ones and the social support system, I noticed a gradual decline in my health.
Since I was very new to the USA, I was not aware that the cold north with short summers and spending all our waking hours inside the hospital had caused me to have Vitamin D deficiency and made my moods fluctuate, nor was I aware that the easy, shortcut, Microwave cooking was not the ideal way of cooking, and that the highly stressful and charged environment in the hospital, taking care of critically sick patients for prolonged hours was draining my adrenal reserve.
The underlying issues climaxed after few years of (unknowingly) eating the GMO foods which were highly sprayed with Glyphosate, which made a perfect setting for leaky gut and autoimmune issues which lead to skin breakouts, joint aches & pain, and dysfunctional Gut symptoms. I regained some degree of health by continuing to practice my yoga, pranayama, and meditation techniques intermittently.
Soon after, I got married, took a sabbatical, and went back to India to train extensively in the ancient healing science and art of Ayurveda, and in Acupuncture, Yoga therapy, and meditation practices, since I was feeling a vacuum in my clinical practice due to lack of training in the right skillsets beyond the modern medical model. I was tired of offering “Band-Aid therapies” which temporarily mitigate the symptoms, and cause more side effects; instead of looking at the root cause of disease.
When I returned to the USA, I felt much better equipped to take on the challenges of healing the world, again. I was also determined to regain my vitality and vibrant health and feel similar to when I was in my early adult years.
So I decided to turn my life around, started practicing meditation and yoga regularly again, gave up gluten completely, became a vegan (I had been a WFPB vegetarian since childhood, and experimented with being a pescatarian for few years in the past), and totally cleaned up my diet, favoring local, seasonal, organic foods, from the farmers market and cooking 3 fresh meals daily.
It was a very slow, but sure recovery process, and I overcame most of the medical issues, recovering my health back, and I was thriving again with energy.
I also decided to trained extensively In Functional medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Lifestyle medicine to further expand on learning as much of the available healing modalities so I could offer the best comprehensive skillset and tools to my patients.
I continue to work on walking this path towards unraveling the true and higher purpose of this life and enabling others to achieve their life goals too.
My life lessons and Journey so far have inspired me to dedicate the knowledge I have learned from the ancient healing wisdom, and offer the intuitive, compassionate approach to unravel the Body’s innate ability to heal, to the community. I have worked with several thousands of patients in my practice, guiding them to find clues and answers deep within themselves utilizing the skillsets I have taught, and transform them to live a life full of joy, hope, love, abundance, and vibrant health, living in sync with the intelligence of nature.
I invite you to walk and share some moments with me on this beautiful learning and sharing journey of life when our paths intersect…….
Health is a dynamic state of balance of the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing; a state of harmony within yourself, your actions, the environment, nature, and the whole universe
