Sonny Miles MD

VISHUDDHA COMMUNITY LEADER
COMMUNITY CIRCLES, INTEGRATIVE MEDICINE

Helping physicians live what they know, that your life is the medicine.

Sonny Miles took the long road to integrative medicine — through MIT, the Peace Corps in Paraguay, UCSF, and years at the bedside of people facing serious illness. Her fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at UC San Diego, followed by a fellowship at the Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona, gave her two things that rarely exist together: the clinical language of dying and the healing wisdom of ancient traditions.

She has explored healing practices in South and Central America, trained in medical acupuncture and contemplative care, completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training, and studied shamanic healing alongside conventional medicine. She founded Healing with Intention Integrative Medicine in Loveland, Colorado, where she lives with her husband, two sons, dogs, and horses. Her New Moon Wisdom Circles at Vishuddha are an extension of everything she has learned about what the body needs to truly rest, reset, and remember itself.

WHAT TO EXPECT

What to expect in her classes

Sonny helps you to reconnect to your identity as a healer, not the role medicine assigned you, but the deeper calling that brought you here. Connection to the sacred feminine. Being witnessed by other women in medicine. It is a rare moment to exist in spaces like that as a physician.

⸺ REFLECTION ⸺

About

Rashmi is physician who has traveled the world in search of the wholeness she now teaches.

Dr. Rashmi Bismark is a board-certified Preventive Medicine physician with a Master of Public Health, whose path to integrative healing began when she spent her senior year studying Ayurveda, meditation, and yoga in southern India. Trained by her granduncle, a revered Ayurvedic healer, she learned medicine not only as treatment, but as the co-creation of healthy communities.

Her practice spans continents: from clinical research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, to mindfulness facilitation in the Channel Islands, to co-leading Yin Yoga teacher trainings with Yoga Medicine. She draws from Buddhist, Yogic, and modern mindfulness traditions — and is certified through a two-year meditation teacher training with Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield.

A celebrated children's author (Finding OM), she brings her love of storytelling into every teaching space she holds.
